Notifications

PoolOps sends push notifications to your phone when something needs your attention. Here's what you'll receive and how to make sure notifications are working.

What triggers a notification

You'll receive a push notification when:

  • A new job is assigned to you — a new job has been added to your run sheet.
  • A job is rescheduled — a job you were assigned has been moved to a different day, or reassigned to another technician.
  • A message from admin — your manager has sent you a direct message through PoolOps.

Enabling notifications on iOS

When you first open the PoolOps app on an iPhone, iOS will ask if you'd like to allow notifications. Tap Allow.

If you tapped Don't Allow and want to re-enable them:

  1. Open Settings on your iPhone.
  2. Scroll down and tap PoolOps.
  3. Tap Notifications.
  4. Toggle Allow Notifications on.

Enabling notifications on Android

On Android, notifications are enabled automatically when you install the app. If you've turned them off, go to Settings → Apps → PoolOps → Notifications and re-enable them.

Adjusting notification preferences in the app

Open the Profile tab in the PoolOps app and tap Notification preferences. You can toggle individual notification types on or off — for example, if you don't want to receive a ping every time a job is added, you can turn off new job notifications while keeping the others active.

Not receiving notifications?

Check the following:

  • Notifications are enabled for the PoolOps app in your phone's system settings (see above).
  • Your phone is not in Do Not Disturb or Focus mode.
  • You're logged in to the PoolOps app (notifications don't arrive if you're logged out).

If you've checked all of the above and still aren't receiving notifications, contact your admin and ask them to check that your account is set up correctly.
